Valve adjustment

How difficult is a valve adjustement on the 3.2's? I bought the book (101 proj), but wanted to get an idea before I jump in. Where can I buy the feeler guage?

I've been wondering too.
It is said you need only a minimal amount of braincels to perform valve adjustments.
Just to make sure, I'm going to the shop to get some more...

No seriously, it's going to be the first thing I'll do myself as well but they say it's a piece of cookie (even easier than a piece of cake)

I was very intimidated by the thought of a valve adjustment, but I found it was MUCH simpliar than I execpted. And I seemed to have done it right because the car doesnt make a racket anymore. But it was a bit easier for me because the motor was out.

Plan on the weekend, but it will only take you about 4 hours. Not hard or difficult, just strange to adjust valves blindly. Try starting with an exhaust, at least you can see them. Afterwards, give every one a calibrated shake to make sure they aren't tight. You can't "check" the adjustment, at least I can't. I can't get the feeler gauge in without backing off the tappet nut.

Matt,

.."doesn´t make a racket anymore"...

- all real tight and silent...

Just kidding Matt. I am actually a bit jealous you took the plunge - I have not had the guts yet.
