Thanks in advance

A 73 has torsion bars, and not coil-overs like the 964 and later cars. So no, they will not fit.

uh, yes, you can just adjust the height of pre '89 911s without having to buy any new parts.

Yes, but it's not as easy - at least in the rear - than if you had adjustable spring plates. I don't think adj. spring plates were OEM in 1973.

the reason i ask is, i have a picture of the p prior to my ownership and the wheels rim is level with the rear arch. Nowadays the arch is level with the top of the tyre, hoping to sort this out. the p has koni yellow shockers, maybe ajustable damping version?

Arch level with top of tire is about right...even a bit low....

you don't want the top of "rim" to be equal to top of arch....much too low.

Adjustable shocks have no bearing on ride height....at most, gas charged shocks installed where there were worn-out hydraulics previously can raise the car 1/2" or so.

If that's the case, and if what Wil says suits your needs, I'd raise the front. I just found out how to do this at TRE in N. Hollywood this morning:

Two adjustments screws in the front; use an 11mm wrench for both; one turn clockwise (as if to tighten) and the car raises about an inch.

the car is a 73 with an aftermarket flatnose/turbo arch kit, its sat on 17" ruf wheels, its also got a nice carbon deck. As i said before i have a few pictures of the car before i bought it. Its lower on these pics, i'd like to get it back to that ride height again, if its possible?
