Thats a Lola T70, circa '66-'67. Those were usually powered by a 5 litre SBC.

The red car is a KMW-Porsche and has a genuine 2.8 RSR engine with a VERY VERY rare aluminum 7R case (we built it).

I'm crying here...Marque parking pass & tickets unused. It was raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock when I awoke this morn. By the time it cleared down here...100 miles or south, I could have driven up and made it to the track in time to see everything end for the day, then turn around & drive back home. Momma nature threw me a sinker today... Oh well, always next year...and it could be worse. At least I'm not dealing with Dennis like our Florida folks are...

Lola T-70

That Lola T-70 has a roof on it which makes it even more rare. The guy that owns the purple 962 had a T-70 years ago, heck he even had a 906 back in there day.

PS........Hey big buddy, quit whining and drive the darn car. Your going to croak before you will wear it out. You have rubbed more paint off of that car washing it than has been removed with rock chips. Drive it man, while you still can.

Dang, beats the collection at the HSR event at VIR today! Though the Ferrari powered spice GTP car did sound fantastic... We had the usual 911s, and 914s that are always here. Did have a bunch of historic (aka 90s vintage) stock cars to add to the mix...

Patrick...it didn't rain in Salem, either...and that a mere 40 miles or so North of me. It sure did here, though...the roads were a mess Saturday until around 1:00... Oh well, next year. (edit) Guess I should explain more. I live a mile from Hwy. 20. Along this mile are farm fields that grow corn & other truck garden crops. The tractors drop mud from their tires as they crawl along this mile as they travel to and from the fields. When the rain mixes with this mud, it's worse than driving through a mile long mud puddle...the resulting goo can really mess up an undercarriage I just spent days cleaning. If the road in front of my house is a mess, the car stays in the garage. One of the downsides of rural life. It's an upside as well...I can listen to a Portland Radio station's traffic reports while a tractor crawls by my house, the only "traffic" I'd seen for 15-20 minutes. I'll take the mud days over a Portland rush hour commute any time!
