Pelican's Seat Reupholstering kits
Anyone reupholstered their seats with the kits provided in new parts on this site? Is it a job suitable for the novice or are they pretty difficult to use? Any pics of finished product?
thanks

I have done a seat reupholstering kit, as long as you have a hog nose pliers and some rings, a little mechanical sense. It is easy. It took me a day to do the two front seats. The trick is to not stretch and rip the vinyl or letter. A hair dryer or steamer works. The other trick is to put a garbage bag over the large foam seat back to slide the rear vinyl over. Watch how it comes off, put in on the same way it came off. If you are handy, you can do it. If you have a local uphostry shop and you value your time, ask them how much to install the kit. I found one that would do it for a $100 if I brought the seats and kit and left it with them for a week.
