CRAP Gruppe
Haven't been on here for a while and was just curious if there are still any members of the CRAP gruppe. Cabriolet Racing And Performance. I still have the 84 cab that was started by kurtb. I am slowly in the process of putting it back on the street. It is actually street legal now as I had to do that when I brought it to Kentucky. I am having a really hard time with cutting out the 8 point cage. I really probably don't need the cage and it makes it hard to get in and out of the car. I would leave the roll bar but move it back just a bit to allow the seat to move back further. When it was full on race the aluminum seat wasn't as thick and would move back further. I have wipers, all the lights and electric windows back working. However the windows are a toggle switch instead of the factory and are mounted on the dash for easy access. The door panels are back on and the sport seats I recovered in one of my "I'm stupid" series have been installed. I will probably put the original exhaust manifolds back on and re tune appropriately so I can get some form of heat. Will be old school with only the rear fan but some is better than none. I hope at least some have left the CRAP designation in their signature lines.

It appears I have not handed out any CRAP since 2012. Sometimes life gets in the way. The following however was my last post and 5 years later it is still appropriate.
"Before making posts about a group of dedicated cabriolet owners who happen to have added performance upgrades and reject the notion that a coupe is somehow inherently superior you may take just a few seconds to search and find out what the group is about. Besides we have Tee-Shirts and a logo so that makes us legitimate." Cabriolet Racing And Performance. It's possible there is a SNOB gruppe that may be better suited. Slow Noisy Oil Burners Its a fun car have some fun.............

Yes the oldest post I could find is 12-28-2000. I bought the car and continued the saga with a massive thread that would probably make a book. I am now trying to get it back to a street worthy state. Mostly it needs to get heat back and would be nice if I had a regular top. If I can't buy one the next step is to custom make a top.
We did at one time have 28 CRAP gruppe members.
