Not too bad, the spoiler is repairable, mostly wounded ego. Some guys were working nearby, we pulled it out of the ditch with a front end loader and i went on my happy way...

the road had mud and clay on it form some work that was being done...I did a 3-2 downshift right before a railroad crossing (due to a truck making a right hand turn in front of me), the tail started coming around, i barely i had my foot on the clutch pedal (caught with the side of my shoe out of laziness) and it slipped off, tried to throttle it through but I had lost it at that point, with the bouncing of the railroad crossing and sliding I couldnt get my foot back on the clutch pedal. the other side of the road has a flat shoulder with lots of trees, so i tried and succeeded in putting it in here. (purely by luck) the accident was entirely my fault. Glad it wasnt freshly painted :-P The spoiler looks alot worse than it is because I had it partially clamped with those plastic lowe's locking clamps, it wasnt entirely bolted on yet. I for one am glad to have a mid year car with full bumpers :)

Bummer. Much better to do it now than right after paint, though.

Looks to me like it's not too bad, could have been a lot worse.
Hopefully you won't find any hidden damage later.

yeah but i was lucky...the hood is actually messed up though....I was looking at it a few minutes ago and I now have a high spot in the shape of the top of the DA sander which i had tossed in the front trunk!

I actually have to say kudos to rennspeed yet again after looking at the spoiler, that thing is VERY tough to have survived intact with only a few cracks! Still an excellent product even now that its cracked up :)

well, it still tracks straight which doesnt rule out tub damage, but nothing feels major out of whack....the most insane thing is i swear the thing runs smoother...what is up with that?!

Any crash you walk away from, let alone drive away from, is lucky. Glad you were not hurt, cars are fixed easier than people. As much as we love our cars, they are metal and can be repaired. Glad it was *relatively* minor.

Glad to know that you're OK and that you didn't have to be towed. Now that you have that out of your system, replace the damaged parts, put on a nice paint job and enjoy your car.

Poor Porsche! You owe it to that Porsche to make him nice again.

i escaped with no damage tot eh passenger front fender, the driver front fender is definately fixable (just a little hammer and dolly work) and the air dam will survive. All in all very minor. I looked this morning and there are four skid marks going into the ditch... but they are mostly covered by fresh layer of mud and clay...

Odd - I had the same experience with my '80 Targa after "kissing" a cement guardrail whilst sliding backwards. Suddenly my 915 actually shifted pretty well! Guess that indicates I really DO need to install the new shift bushings and adjust!:D
