Need ideas on new interior!
Hi. I'm in the process of repainting my car, and at the same time redoing the interior. I took everything off carpet, isolation, and glue, now that was a hard job. The inside is going to be repainted, and I don't know if I should re carpet or not. If anyone have pics of their interior, it would be appreciated
Thanks Daniel. |

Nice Don. Did you put isolation under the carpet?

If isolation is canadian for sound dampening material, then yes.
![]() I put 4 coats of a paintable sound dampener (Quietcar) plus one layer of Thermotech FR which was a lightweight mat material. I only put this on in the back seat and back shelf areas.

I like the looks of nicely painted interiors with no carpeting, or just carpeting on the tunnel. It looks pretty sporty with some nice seats, and save a few pounds of weight. I guess some of it depends on the purpose the car is intended for. Taking the wife out=carpet perhaps, trackday=no carpet?

Thanks for the response. I have a month to decide. Once the interior is painted, my decision will be easier (I hope).
p.s. my wife doesn't need carpet! Daniel |
