				Tarret swaybar inquiry

Can anyone provide good or bad feed back on Tarret swaybars, or your dealings with Tarett?

I want to get set of swaybars for my mostly-track, some-street '88 Carrera. I'm thinking about ordering a set of Tarett bars.

I am curious what others say Rob..... I'm considering the same for my 78 SCarrera and have gone back and forth between Smart Racing and Tarrett. Both seem to offer good quality and I'm trying to decide whether the extra $350 or so is worth it for the SR bars.

Are you going to reinforce the rear mounts? If I remember correctly the '88 had the improved ones but I have still heard of a few being ripped. The Wevo mounts look pretty darn nice.

Tarret bars are good for street and track. The Smart bars provide a great system for the extra $$. That said for the money the Tarret will do the job very well. Tarret is located in San Diego and the owner is very helpful. Give him a chance and call him, see if he has what you need. |

I've had a great experience with Tarett's products. They are of very nice quality and high value, given other products in the market. The range of adjustement is outstanding, as well. I think it is notable that Elephant Racing resells many of Tarett's products. Given ER's reputation, I think it is validating for Tarett. Ira Ramin is the owner and designer for Tarett.

Ira's customer service levels are IDEAL. If you searched under my user name you'll find several past posts that document my experience. You couldn't ask for a more responsive owner / designer / customer support person from a company. Ira sent me some additional delrin spacers which I needed because of my modified rear sway bar mounts which arrived next day, without further cost, as well. He's outstanding! email me if you have specific questions about my experience. Doug

Deep down though, I know I need a set of bars to make my Carrera handle like I want.
