The window on my 82SC was 33and change. After a few addons the total bill was 35k. As for the price going up and up yu have to take into account the shrinking value of the dollar. $100=$45 25years ago

I paid $9,300 for my car. It was two years used then, with 7,000 miles on it's odo. I don't have the original sticker. Optional equipment was full leather interior, factory fog lights, limited slip, 5 speed, (yes, that WAS an option then...4 speed was standard, though very few cars delivered that way) blaupunk Frankfurt radio, tinted glass,. Maybe somebody here with a 1972 pricing list could give me a guestimate on what sticker price was? Oh..in case somebody might not know...a 1972 911S coupe.

If thats not enough I can throw in my first born too . Let me know if your ready to hang up your keys .

The sticker on my 87 TL was about $66,5K (including $12K for the turbo look option). I paid 19.5K for it last year, although, if you add the work I did upon receipt of the car to get everything in good shape, $22K is more accurate.

I bought my 69 T targa in 1985 for $7000

I bought my 70 S coupe in 1989 for $10,000

I bought my 73 T targa/Carrera 3.2 in 2000 for $12,000

The real question is - How much SPENT ON EACH since that purchase??? (i don't want to know)

The sticker on my 88 turbo cab was $88,000. I only bought it 4 yeas ago but it still boggles my mind what that thing sold for back then. If you added the slope nose option it would have put the car at $100,000. I know this because I still have my Road and Track mentioning that fact in the review of the car.

Ok now , take the Production years back to 1973 to 1983. Lets see if you can see the difference.

I had my 1973/ 914-4 for $7,200.00 and a 1974-911 for$8,800.00. Now days the same is around $71K a difference of $63K,and a Boxter for $45K a difference of$36K

I bought a '67 Euro 911S in 1976 for $4,500 and paid $4,000 for a '69 911T in 1975. I believe the original 911S owner bought it in Germany for around $7,500, and the 911T sold new at a dealership in Sacramento for $7,200. After several years of time trialing it, I sold the 911S (disassembled) in 2000 for $4,000 and still have the 911T.

SCs definitely got more expensive during the model run. My '78 had a base price in the 16s, though came to about $22 without any real extravagant options (16" fuchs, sunroof, full leather interior being the big ones)
