Window switches for sale on PP. Which brand to buy?

Need a window switch for a '90 911.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the APA and the Kostal window switch. APA is a lot cheaper ($15.00) than the Kostal ($49.25). Could the quality/reliabilty be that much different?

Would appreciate any feedback.

The genuine switches were pretty bad so I don't think you could go wrong with a good aftermarket. You could buy 2 and still come out ahead. I've used them before and had no problems.

I think both are OEM suppliers. I think that the Kostal is a German brand, whereas the other one is a not-so-German brand. Some people like choice.

Speaking of choice, do you like the new selections in the catalog?

Thanks for the responses, guys. I love choice, but sometimes it's tough to MAKE a choice without information...that's why the message boards are so great.

I will look through the catalog and give comments on new selections. Thanks, again.

I had so many problems with the OEM switches a year ago... they were failing and breaking left and right.

Pelican stood up and replaced them all under warranty...

The new ones..... not a single one has failed!!! Ive had the same ones in there for over a year now...and they work great!!

Obviously there were some quality issues there but I dont know what manufacturer did what...just that the batch of warranty replacments were better than the ones that failed all the time.

Thanks Wayne for the warranty.

I just recently bought two (on two separate occasions - about 3 weeks apart) at the old price and now I'm confused as to which ones I received. Just received the second one last week in fact. They both have the same part number without the suffix added - M56 and M253. I did notice a slight difference in coloration which is a bit of a pain for 48 bucks - could have saved eight dollars by waiting a little longer as well. Oh well...
