best source for fasteners??
As I assemble my roller there are almost NO fasters. Everything from putting the hard oil lines to oil cooler etc etc..
What's my best source for fastners??? I'm thinking a kit with a bunch of varied parts...Suggestions? |

Here' a Google search. http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=metric+hardware&ie=U TF-8&oe=UTF-8
Wurth sells most of what you need but they are a bit overpriced on some stuff and the quality isn't always the best. Check out www.ultimategarage.com for some quality stuff. |

Mcmaster.com

I have a Fastenal store near my house, they have been able to get most everything I have ever needed w/i 24hrs. Resonably priced too.

McMaster-Carr..... Graingers..... MSC Industrial Supply...
Each complements the other, where there is no overlap..... Wil |
I had a parts car to go get fasteners from, but there were a few trips to Home Depot. Don't tell anyone.

be sure to figure out which fasteners are special
stronger grade fasteners are used for the CV joints& washers the Al F crossbar looks to be pretty important, tho I don't know if the fasteners are special or not. exhaust fasteners can benefit from certain alloys... |
I have had good luck with Fastenal as well. I agree with Bobby that the quality of some of the Wurth hardware is not the best but they have a good selection.

Make a list before a trip to Fastenal. At least my local shop has a minimum order and is cash only. Nothing like getting there needing 4 bolts and then having to come up with $10 more of bolts off the top of your head at the register. Good selection and cost.
Is Coldwell a national company? I've had good luck with them also and they actually do some hands on like oil lines or hydralic style fastners. |
and... Eagle-Day for ultra spendy Concours finish stuff...

Wayne - does it make economic sense for you to offer smaller kits? The cheapest is $87...
