Help in Tampa - fan belt snapped
Just happened 5 minutes ago (1039), my battery light went on as I pulled up to the light, and the car's idle started fluctuating...So anyways, I managed to park it in the Sundome parking lot, and found a broken fan belt.
Long story short, no tools, broken fan belt, no AAA = me stuck @ USF. So if any of you guys happen to be in the neighborhood, I'd appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks. Car is an 84 Euro Carrera...my contact info is 727.641.5558 (I'll be at class til 12:15). |

DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO COUNTER-HOLD THE FAN BY THE BLADES WHEN OPENING THE BIG NUT!
USE THE PROPER TOOLS, OR THE BLADES MAY BREAK! WATCH THE NUMBER OF SHIMS ON EACH SIDE OF THE PULLEY-HALVE! THERE ARE SIX ALLTOGETHER; START WITH 3 ON EACH SIDE AND CHECK THE BELT TENSION. GET TWO NEW BELTS; ONE FOR SPARE.
