Behind/under passenger floorboard-What is it?
I removed the board from the passenger side-87 carrera- and there is something with springs on it. What is the thing

That is the unit that controls the fan speed for the AC fan.

That funny, I also removed the board on my 86 and found a black box about 8x10 with wires to who knows where. Is this the same fan control unit?

Alarm unit
I have been doin a lot of work on the 87 carrera cab and was going to vacum behind and there it was. My alarm unit is back there too. Do the springs get hot? Looks like an air tunnel. Almost have it back together. When done i'll post some pics..Don't know how I would have ever done some of the work without this BBS. One HELL of a place. Just want to say thanks to all the great people here!!!!
