OK...since I messed up the first time and I can't seem to delete my first attempted post, I'll start over. I have a Bentley's manual, but the troubleshooting chart does not seem to be applicable to the '89 P-car in particular....I think the previous year models were on a vacuum servo and this may explain the difference in the cruise control module/harness connections. I am not getting any response at all from the cruise control unit....the obvious things have checked out OK, such as the fuse, the relay and the cable connection from the servo to the TB. I'm thinking I may have a defective clutch switch, but I'd really like to confirm it with the proper troubleshooting on the module harness connections before ordering a new switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
