Its pretty hard to improve on the stock air box for air flow. Porche designed it to maximize air flow. Your upgrade dollars could be better spent elsewhere, more free flowing exhaust, suspension etc. Just my $0.02

I wouldn't bother. The 8.5:1 CR 3.0L already gets more air than it needs through the stock airbox. I have a 3.0L w/ euro P/Cs, 964 cams, SSIs. When I dyno'd, I did one run with the factory setup then one with the cover completely removed and the filter just held in place with straps and there was NO discernible difference. Not even .3 hp. Plus if you drill the airbox it will allow water to enter when it rains.

Bobby, What kind of gains did you see when you dyno'ed? How different does your car feel now?
Thanks
