another monoball install question
 

I just purchased ERP rear monoballs for my 1978 911 sc. I have the engine and trans out. I also have removed the two bolts holding in the control arms. My question is how do you remove the the control arms from the brackets? I don't want to remove the control arms. Do I need to loosen or remove the spring plate so that I could pull the control arms out of the brackets or what?

You'll find it tough to impossible to pull them out while attached to the spring plates. Loosen the spring plate bolts enough to get some wiggle room.
