Mobile mechanic in the SF Bay Area?

Anyone know of a good mobile 911 mechanic in the San Francisco bay area?

Thanks-

I actually did do a search. Probably didn't try enough key words.

Jimmy Deering is also a Mobile Works guy. His username is: MobileWrks

Type his username into the search box where it says "Search by User Name", then find a post or thread by him, click on his user name and you can contact him.

I think Tom Amon and Jimmy Deering are a two-man team. I met Jimmy at the Parts Heaven Swap Meet a few months ago and he is a really nice guy. I'm sure Tom is the same way. Good luck!

I believe Jimmy handles the Sacramento area, and Tom handles the Bay area. I am sure both are booked well into the near future.

Cant go wrong with MobilWrks..

It's just great when service like Mobil Works is available. The convenience alone is more than worth the rate charged. I've had Jimmy Deering here in Sacramento service my car (83 911SC) right in my garage. Having the opportunity to observe and learn about your car from an experienced Porsche mechanic is also well worth the rate charged. I've never had the opportunity to meet Tom Amon but is highly recommended by Jimmy and also from several customers' posts in this forum.

Major tune up, clutch R&R, valves, starting problem diagnosis and repair. I was very impressed at the meticuluous and speedy way the jobs are done. i.e. 52 minutes for an engine drop to R&R my clutch. Give them a call, you won't regret it.

Tom Amon rebuilt my engine and trans, can't say enough good things about him.

Reliable, stands behind the work, reasonably priced, unusual attention to detail. You can even watch and learn if you want.

So, what kind of project are you thinking about?

I wanted to make a public Thank You to Jim, he knew where a set of Deep Six Fuchs were sitting in a garage, that were well below current market value, which I was able to buy for my 914 five lug conversion. Thanks Jim!
