2.4 or 2.7

hi guys, happy thanksgiving btw.my question is this.I have a 77s 2.7 engine that is out of the car and about to change all seals ,gaskets, maybe rings, that sort of thing among other things but now I bought a 75s roller that I needed for suspension parts etc. that also has a 2.4 with weber carbs and permatune ignition,is this a better set up than what I have or should I sell it and continue with the 2.7.wondering about horsepower, that sort of thing ,thanks again for your comments, also it has 7 inch cookie cutters, could they be made to look better than 6 inch fuchs on a black car?Marty

Marty, do you which version of 2.4 it has (T, E, S)? The 2.4T would be OK (E or S would be better) and you'd be able to keep your car on the road while you get the 2.7 work done. Can you post your engine serial number? I think you'll have to modify your fuel system to support carbs. Some of the guys here can tell you what's needed or not. I don't think you'll be able to make cookies look better than Fuchs; however, you can try refinishing the cookies in the original color, or maybe go with color keyed (black) centers and silver/polished lips. I hope this helps some.
