Mechanic in Tucson???
Hi, on a road trip with my new to me 911. See other thread. I may want to have the heat looked at in Tucson since I'll be parked there for a week. Any recommendations on shops in the area? My parents live in Saddlebrooke if that helps for location.
Thanks,

The only Porsche mechanic I've heard of in Tucson is Redline. I have had no personal experience with them though.

Tucson Mechanic - no heat
I believe the problem with the heater is the motor is not working. I don't hear it going or feel air when the levers are pulled. I pulled into Pep Boys in El Paso and bought some stuff to clean the switch and some of the contacts. Everything looks like it's hooked up. I may just leave it and put SSI's on when I get home. Sounds like a fun??? project. I drove a 79 with SSI's before I bought this car and the throttle response was quite a bit better. Could have been other things though too.
The little warm air I am getting smells like that burning oil smell. I don't know whether it's that or the Red Bull that was making me feel light headed. If I get some time I may take it down to see if there is a quick 1 hour fix before I hit the road again. Cheers,

update - mechanic in Tucson
Radmacher is a good guy. He provided me a temporary fix by fixing one of the cables to the flapper on the drivers side. The flappers are missing the proper connectors to the cable so they weren't working. The blower is also inop but I'll have enough heat to get home.
Thanks for the lead.
