RS America seats in an SC?
I may possibly acquire a pair of RS America seats. Does anybody know what kinds of issues I may encounter putting these seats in an 83 SC?
I imagine I will need some kind of a conversion bracket to attach the seats to the SC rails, or to attach the RSA seat rails to the SC floor. Any ideas where I might find such a thing? Are there likely to be wires for the power already under the SC seats or will I have to figure out how to run a power wire for the seats?

You'll probably have to work out the wiring but the seats should bolt right in from what I understand.

I have a pair of these that I swap in and out of my '79 SC. No issues at all. Wiring involves one hot and one ground. I actually just attach a power source and adjust then disconnect.

I too use RSA seats in my 78Euro SC. Bolted in and ran a wire to the battery to adjust. That was it. I seem to remember the seats sit a bit higher. I also thought about making a wire harness to connect to the seats and jump up to the cigarette lighter for quick adjustments, but never have gotten around to it.

They do bolt in and the wiring is simple.
Just FYI... they do sit a lot higher than the stock seats.

Just curious, what is the wiring for? I would assume RS seats would try to minimize weight.

RS America seats are just normal 4-way electric adjustable sport seats but with black fabric instead of leather. They are pretty heavy.

but not as heavy as 8 way power. So lighter than 8 way standard in 93? They arent quite fiberglass race seats but, if you want a nice comfortable porsche factory sport seat that has some rarity built into them the (701 sets) rsa seats available would be a good choice.
