Grinding pedal

Hi all,

Was driving home today when I noticed a kind of grinding feeling coming through my accelerator pedal for about the 1st inch of travel.

It happens in each gear, only when I release the clutch.

Anyone got any ideas what it may be?

Simon

I'd check all the pivot bushings first...

I had the same problem. I bet the inner piece of the throttle linkage is hanging up on the arm which pulls on the clutch cable. The clutch arm is attached to the cable by a yoke.

If your throttle stop isn't set properly (not high enough) too much force in the throttle linkage can bend the inner piece so that it hangs up with the clutch linkage. Post a picture of the parts from PET and I'll tell you tell you which one. I know this description will be nearly impossible to follow.
