which rear rubber brake hose do I need?
901-355-631-01 is for 69-83 $12.50/ea
911-355-087-00 is for 84-89 $23.25/ea Which do I need? I am running '77 trailing arms with rear Carrera calipers in my '72. The trailing arms from '78-'89 are the same so that doesn't account for the change. All I can come up with is that there was a change in the hard brake lines that affected the length of hose needed, or where the hard line mounts on the caliper changed. I don't have the hard lines so I will have to custom make some. Which rubber lines do I need? Any reason I can't go with the cheaper ones?

The rear hoses are the same length from 69-89. The only difference is the 84-89 rubber hoses have a spiral protection sleeve around the hose. You can use the cheaper 69-83 rubber hose. If you use the stainless steel brake hose set, it fits all 69-89 911.
The hard line is different as it goes into the caliper at a different angle on the 84-89 calipers. You can use the hard line for a 84-89 911. -Eli Thanks Tom |
