It looks like a decent product. I have seen guys using them at the track.

From the photos at the link, I'm afraid this jack would crush my Elephant Racing oil cooling lines on the passenger side. Pretty hefty price for what you can achieve with four jack stands. But might be useful where time is of the essence.

I have one
I bought one for my 914. I was tired of jacking up one side and then the other. Pretty simple to use. Slide it under both sides and push the up button. I have some wood blocks the I put under it when I installed an engine. Down side is that your friends will want to borrow it. I read that customer service was poor, but I haven't had any problems with the unit, so I can't confirm or deny that. Had it for a year now and it works fine

I own the very similar "EZ Car Lift." Simply rolls under the car and lifts using a worm-drive/strut system that seems very safe (no hydraulics to fail).
At any rate, all it takes to lift is a power drill rated at 7 amps or above (I use an 8 amp Dewalt). 26 inches of lift might not be enough for some folks....but I find this height ideal to work from a creeper. A bonus is that this unit creates minimal interference with car components, and it stores flat against my garage wall. Also easy to take apart for transport in the average car trunk. Great unit - check it out! |

Are you able to take a motor out using this system?

I'm interested as well. Model number purchased, access to lift points, engine/tranny drops, etc. Maybe a group buy?

Does anyone know if the 3500 fits the proper jack points?

That the question I have. Can you take the motor out with it..I think it would be hard because it moves the car forward when going down. Also I have read you need like 30 some inches to clear the rear bumper...but what do I know I don't have one yet..

If you can install a motor with one it would be well worth it.
