OEM air compressor failure
I was performing the sad duty of putting the Coupe to bed for the winter, and trying to inflate the tires a little bit. My compressor worked for about a minute, then just ... stopped. Checked the lighter socket fuse, it was fine. Tried to hook the compressor up to my daily driver, no worky there either. I did a search here, but found nothing... I removed the backing of the compressor and didn't see anything amiss, but electronics are not my specialty. Can anyone tell me about a common failure with these? Is there a way to troubleshoot these things? Thanks.
Todd

What type of compressor do you have?
The Square "Black" box type or the roundish white compressor?

If you have the Black Box type:
Check here.... There is a screw on the power plug (the part that goes into the lighter socket) with a black and red wire going into it. Take that screw out and separate the plug halves. You will probably find that either the black or red wire has come loose or pulled away from the solder joint....
