Ok in general the values out there in the world are not accurate for porsche stuff but, kelly blue book retail is not close on any car.
It says right on the KBB site - retail = this is a starting point for negotiating from a dealership. The dealers that "dont negotiate" (carmax) around here take around 1-2k right off the posted KBB value to pretend you saved money. IMO yuour car is worth the money you can sell it for at the time you advertise it. Whether it's more or less than Bruce or NADA. KBB advertises that the price is suggested retail?! Thats a waste of time. The private party value isnt that unreasonable. Ok just thought I'd mention it since we already have enough trouble coming up with values for these cars.

Harold,
as someone trying to sell a vehicle (so I can buy a 911) I have to agree. There is no option with KBB to appraise the value of an extended, transferrable warranty (that I have found) which makes things difficult. Plus if you play around with it, adding and deleting options, you'll soon see that their valuing is flawed. However, if it really is based upon actual sales, who knows? I guess it all goes back to cars being worth whaever someone is willing to pay for them. Region and time of the year play a big part- it's complicated, hopefully an economist will chime in... Cheers, Paul.
