i have not had the "pleasure" of dealing with them. that being said, i have talked to so many people (about 25) and not one NOT ONE walked away happy with what they got. someone should post a thread searching for a satisfied customer. i wonder what would happen?

clcrk3 have them send you your motor right now tell them you have spoken with Kevin Favrow and want no dealing with them.

If you didnt record your numbers on the engine you wont get your stuff back you will get different stuff.

also they will tell you things need to be replaced that do not need to be.

You don't need an excuse or reason. They work for You. This won't be the first time (see below) that they have been found out and had a motor rescued from their shop.

Motor Meister strikes again

why don't you start by sending PM or email to the people in past threads who say that they were burned by MM?

They work for You.

- Right. Be sure to send a copy of the letter by cert. mail so you can prove they got it. Other things to do: copy via fax (save the return printout with date/time stamp), and by Email. Get your stuff back right away.

"sending PM or email to the people in past threads"

- an excellent idea. Then ask each if you can file their name with the Attorney General's office for a consumer complaint.

That will be a great pic for your web site...

some advice from the non-scientist half of my brain (i.e. the lawyer half) - just post the truth (it seems bad enough); don't inflate anything.

Actually, that is not my car....thank goodness. I'm not sure what the brand of the wheels are.
That smoke is the real deal. No special effects there.

NO inflation there! The engine in that car is a genuine MM rebuild with very few miles on it.

I checked with Network Soutions. www.motorscheister.com is available as a domain. If you put up the site, we can all google bomb that site with competitive search words for motormeister.

You may consider consulting an attorney before proceeding further.

You could set up a blog site on blogger that deals with rating various auto shops.

Create a section for each shop, one of course if for MM. Your mission statement would be to provide feedback on shops.

throw in a couple of good ones for objective sake. This should stave off any lawyer action.

If you Google MM, there are two links on the 1st page that come back here to Pelican. All bad news. You don't need to start a new website. Anyone who so much as uses a search engine has got to become aware that something isn't right.

No liability and no wondering what page your site will show up on in a search.

True, but a "so and so sucks" site may look like your targeting them and while they wouldn't have a leg to stand on, they may be able to afford the lawyers to hassle you and make you spend you money.

I think its a great idea, just be cautious. I haven't researched it, but i bet PayPalSucks.com may have gone through that, you might see how they approach it and ask the founder if they ran into any trouble.

Go for it!

if it's a blog with people posting their own personal horror stories, then what can they do about it ? freedom of speech , consumer right to complain about a bad shop. if they threaten to sue , threaten with a return class action counter suit... see if they like a taste of their own medicine...many customers with individual issues, against one dodgy shop ? can't be that difficult now?
