in the worst way. BK doesn't seem to sell direct; has anybody seen this for sale?

I want one too, but couldn't figure out which fire extinguisher to buy with it. Do you know that? I tried to find the one they recommend, but couldn't seem to track it down. Maybe I didn't look hard enough....
Let's share what we find out.

Well www.northstarmotorsports.com has them, for $199 a pop.

I would think they would fit a variety of extinguishers.

Looks like a standard 2.5 lb halon. I got mine for $135 or so.

Something to note - if your car's on fire, 2.5 lbs of halon may get you out, but it's not saving the car. I carry a 5 (maybe 10) lb in the front trunk for good measure.

The BK web site has a list of vendors. Go to the "Ordering Info" section.

I picked up a new amerex halon 2.5 for $85 bucks on some auction site;)

http://www.ogracing.com/ is a huge BK dealer.

I recently talked with a BK tech guy (Sam) who tells me they've sold out their first two production runs and to speak with various distributors re: availability. Further, he said future [5-6 months] iterations should be cheaper after they fine tune the mfg process, to the point of being price-competitive with Safecraft who also has a quick release mount. The Safecraft item weighs ~0.8 lbs; I don't know about BK. Both look acceptable to me in terms of appearance, but I think the Safecraft item may be lighter. Safecraft uses a pin release design.

I can't tell for sure, but I think the BK one lets you grab one-handed.

The BK is a one handed system. A friend has it and it certainly is very nice.
