N-m means Newton Metres...common speak for the metric types.
|
N-m is an abbreviation for Newton-meter, a measure of torque. From onlineconversion.com:
1 newton meter = 0.7375621 pound foot 150 newton meter = 110.6343221 pound foot 90 newton meter = 66.3805933 pound foot |
Thanks,
Well then, 84 + engine means I'll go with 66 foot pounds. Thanks again, |
There is a black insulated wire-pair that is broken that comes out of the back of the engine same place as the starter wires. There were no wires to disconnect for at the plug for the back-up light switch, needless to say I have never had back-up lights. Could this wire-pair be my wires for the back-up lights?
|
Yep, these are often a casualty when only the engine is dropped.
|
On the bright side, I should be able to make the repair in the morning and finally have working back-up lights (yeah!).
|
I did a search for main engine bolt torgue (upper and lower) and could not find anything. Also, same for the turbo CV bolts. Anyone have these spec's handy?

Just got back from a test drive. It has never felt so good. Hey just in time for the snow storm and black ice predicted here in mid TN. Thanks for the help.
