Oil pressure on 911e

Just a quick question, how much oil pressure should a 2.2 litre hold? At idle, at 2500 rpm?... Thanks

My 2.2 holds about 1-1.5 bar per 1000 rpms.

So basically at 1000rpm=20psi(approx.) 2000=40psi..this is pretty much average....

Always check oil pressure with the engine at operating temp. Anywhere between 10-15psi per 1000 rpm is good.

Cheers

We started my car today, first time since my friend took my injector ppump apart and "cleaned" the petrified gas out. ANyway, the pump still isnt 100%, but it did run under its own power, and I noted the oil pressure.... and even idleing kinda rough, and around 1000 rpm...the oil pressure was about 20psi...as we rev'd it up to 2000-2500 rpm, the oil toped as high as 60psi....warm.

Congrats on getting it running.
Your oil pressure is fine. Is it running well enough to
drive the car ?

I made a loop around my yard....is not running very well...the underside pump is leaking and I dont think its pushing the appropriate pressure..I am trying to get in touch with another user who has one but nothing so far.

We also think the injector pump is out of time, we got in a hurry installing is an we will recheck tommorrow... It is also running pretty rich and smoking white.

I'd strongly recommend you get the fuel pump leak fixed before running the car. Hopefully that's already your plan.

yes...we used this one to troubleshoot the car, IE injector pump, as this was the origional problem... As soon as I can get the delivery pump we will start tuning the car. At least I now know the engine is good, and the clutch works.

Cool. Best wishes on getting your 911E sorted out quickly. And post pics of it, too!
