76 912 915 transmission, is it a 7:31 R&P?

ive got a 4 speed from a 72 that i can use for parts, can the 76 be retro fited with a mech speedo, or how hard is it to wire for an electronic speedo? thanks-Bill

If you convert to a gearbox with an electronic speedo drive, it's just a matter of installing the corresponding electronic speedometer. Remove the existing speedo drive cable from its sheath, then route the sender signal wires through the sheath up to the speedometer. The gauge also needs 12V.

thanks guys, i bought a 76 912 e trans yesterday, to put in a72 rs clone that i am working on. glad to hear its no bigdeal to convert to electronic. thanks-bill
