On the way out of the parking lot today someone was nice enough to hit my wife in the 350Z. She backed up right into the fender. To keep this on topic I'm considering getting some paint work done on the front bottom of the 911's bumper. I would consider the 350Z a test run. Anyone know of great body shops preferably on the northwest side? Farmers advised that I can take the car to any shop I choose.
cheers Paul

I'm beginning to think it's a lost art and all the good ones are gone.

I have had very good results from Sunrise Paint and Body in SW Houston. 281-933-7473. I haven't had any Porsche work done there however, they have fixed two Mercedes for me. One of them required an entire new roof on a four door sedan. The work was excellent. They specialize in NSX's. I was very impressed with their service and how clean their facilities were.

I am looking too, but nothing yet.
Just a bunch of collision shops down here in Clear Lake.

I haven't used them yet but they come highly recommended ...
Independent Body and Paint. I have several things I want to get them to do but I need to work on my brakes and suspension first. http://www.ibodypaint.com/index.html I have seen one example of their work and was impressed. Good luck!

I might add they are not cheap ... but the two people who told me about them have both used them a couple of times. Inside the Tollway on Clay Rd.
Just my $0.02

I've used Casari's Paint & Body on Winderfern (NW Hou neaar FM1960 & Jones)for amny decades. They are about to start widening my widebody and doing a full repaint. Stay tuned. Downside is collision work is their bread & butter - Special work (like mine) can take a while. They do good work.

I went and checked out both Independent body and Casari's. Both are the kind of shop I'm looking for, they are small but both were super attentive and knowledgeable, and I'll take that over the big corporate shops any day!! It came down to Casari's being on the way to work for my wife about 3 miles from our house. I'll keep you posted on how it turns out, thanks for the help!

I've heard good things about Casaris too. I've seen some of their work on a "resto" they did about 5yrs ago. Paint has held up pretty good.

Alright....

I took mine to a couple of places in Clear Lake and they scratched their heads and looked at each other... I don't recommend Apollo.

Call Mike Callas at Rennsport in Sealy. He does not paint, but I've seen work a shop he recommends does. He'll steer you in right direction, or offer info. I believe he can help.
