mobile works does it again, thanks jimmy

I had jimmy deering of Mobil Works over on saturday for a valve adjustment that i thought was going to be cut and dried. I took all the valve covers off and got it all ready for jimmy to just swoop in and do the adjustment. he called me in the morning and as he got close to my house and was right on time.

He started the adjustment and found that i had a stripped adjustment bolt and nut on one of my rocker arms. It being about 2 o-clock we frantically called a couple parts places and found the parts i would need at parts haven. Jimmy went off to his other work in the area while i ran to PH like a madman to get there before they closed at three. I got there and the required parts and headed home.

Jimmy again was on the phone keeping me abreast of his time table and when he would return to my house. About the time he returned I was talking with people by phone I was suppose to go out with that night and telling them I prolly could/would not make it out due to time and the additional money i was going to have to spend on the problems we encountered.

He arrived back, got the parts off the rocker arm i had gotten and put the new ones back in, finished the valve adjustment and did an additional "walk around" of the car. Even though we had ran very late he checked out a bunch of stuff during this walk. he also replugged the hole in my engine tin from my air pump removal that my effort had been displaced at a recent track event.

It all ended very well in that Jimmy was not going to get home at 3 in the morning from work, as he had the night before, and he left me with enough time and money to go out as i had planned.

Sunday I buttoned everything back up, putting the covers back on, new oil and filter, and washed the thing. it had been a month since it had been clean, and it needed it. I then drove the car and all was right with the world, at least for that hour or so...

Thanks again Jimmy for you work, your reasonable prices and most of all standing for me hovering over your shoulder all afternoon while you did your work.

Another satisfied Mobile Works customer.

Great to hear that Toby!

Mobile works is GREAT, both Tom and Jimmy.

I am glad they teamed up to make this happen for the Pcar community. I hope it catches well and they are around a long time :)

Sort of unrelated, but how did you go about fixing your headlight? I was sorry to see such a nice H1 damaged, those chrome trim rings go great with your window trim!

Toby,
Jimmy is on his way here...Grass Valley...as we speak to install a Fab Speed pre-muffler and MSD. He is great, fast and reasonable.

Lemme know next time you go to a DE at TH...I'll try to come and take more pics. Likely won't ever DE my car for ins. reasons but it's sure fun to watch and spend a day at the track.

will do doc, tell jimmy i said hey.

JK, i traded my remaining good H-1 for a very good set of chromed ringed H-4's that "group911@aol" here on pelican had. very happy it worked out as it did. the damaged one was sold to a very local bay area pelican for a $100.

again thanks jimmy!!

Hey Jimmy, I was going to send this in an email, but read this "We love Jimmy thread", and thought why not post it here?

Thanks again for coming to Lodi and taking care of my oil leaks, etc... And the bonus of resetting the muffler alignment with the valance. Car runs great, and I'm having a blast with it!

Just wanted to say I appreciate your efforts!
