15x8 Fuchs front and rear on a SC?
Does anyone run 15x8 Fuchs on the front and rear of their SC-flared car? If so, how is the fitment in the front and what size tires do you run?
Pics? Thanks, -Scott |
I think you're going to have difficulties in the front. The offset will place the wheel too far outside of the wheelwell. I have 16x8 wheels on the front of my '76, but they have a custom offset to make it work.

I've studies the Fuchs offset chart and I know that 15x8 and 16x8 911 Fuchs have the same offset and backspacing. 16x8 911 Fuchs don't seem to work.
I'm just thinking someone has tried with 15x8 Fuchs running a shorter diameter tire (like 225/50/15 instead of 225/50/16). -Scott |
I think the problem will be contact with the inner fender wall on full, or almost full-lock, turns.

iroc, pictures please...... 16x8 in the front?

Over in the autox forum rdane mentions a local hot shoe running 15x8's all around. Check it out near the bottom of the thread:

I thought 951 Fuchs 16x8s work on the SC in the front?
|
They do. 15x8 wheels have different offset than 951 16x8's.
