I have been told that later model cabrio roofs will fit onto earlier Cabrios - and give a cleaner looking line?
Has anyone tried this? What model roofs can be used on a 1985 911 Cabrio? Thanks |

I have an '83 with a 993 top. Smooth, cleaner and more updated look. However, you would develop a blind spot. Can't find the appropriate pics though.
Sorry. I do not have a back-view. |

Hi,
thanks for posting the photos. Do you have to change the hood frame in order to fit a 993 roof? or will the 993 roof fit onto a sc / 3.2 Cabrio frame? THanks Tim |

When you purchase the top you need to specify you want the 993 style for an 85 year.

No changes to the frame was required. May I again stress the 'blind spot!' Consider this, and if you do decide to get the 993 top, learn to use your passenger side mirror a lot and/or turning your head a lot. BTW, my car is the first Cab ..... a 1983! |
