Question Cabrio Roof replacement - which model roof?

I have been told that later model cabrio roofs will fit onto earlier Cabrios - and give a cleaner looking line?

Has anyone tried this?

What model roofs can be used on a 1985 911 Cabrio?

Thanks

Convert to a Targa! Then it only leaks aaround the door seals. Oh I forgot converts do that also.

I have an '83 with a 993 top. Smooth, cleaner and more updated look. However, you would develop a blind spot. Can't find the appropriate pics though.

Sorry. I do not have a back-view.

Hi,
thanks for posting the photos.

Do you have to change the hood frame in order to fit a 993 roof?

or will the 993 roof fit onto a sc / 3.2 Cabrio frame?

THanks
Tim

When you purchase the top you need to specify you want the 993 style for an 85 year.

Just like what Jim said!

No changes to the frame was required. May I again stress the 'blind spot!' Consider this, and if you do decide to get the 993 top, learn to use your passenger side mirror a lot and/or turning your head a lot.

BTW, my car is the first Cab ..... a 1983!
