Noise Canceling Horns? Acoustic Guys?

Did I correctly orient these hellas in my fender? Is it possible that the orientation could effect the volume of these horns? I want to make sure they're as loud as possible!

With speakers you can create cancellation by wiring them oppositely. I'm only guessing that unless you pointed the horns at each other at the right distance appart the only way you might "cancel" them would be to wire them wrong. But I'm no expert.

Yep, with 2 different tones they are much less likely (or not at all) to experience destructive interference

They'll be louder if you move them to the passenger compartment.

Okay, maybe I'll add something else. Visualize the path of the sound coming out the horn and where it will go. Follow the path like a pool ball, banking off the ground. If they are pointed directly at the ground the sound may bounce back up into the same area and not be very loud outside the fender. If you point them at the ground at an angle, maybe more of the sound will bounce off the ground in a direction at an angle coming out from under the car. Aim them where you want them to be loudest as they are at least a little directional.

except... the sound will not be very directional at the dominant frequencies -- won't hurt tho

You may be right. The lower the frequency the less directional it is. Most Stereophiles don't like subwoofers (usually mono) to reproduce frequencies much above 100Hz because the listener can discern the location and lose the stereo effect. Anyone know what frequensies these horns are?

The horns will be way higher than that -- maybe in the 1kHz range or so. Get a test record and match the freqs. if you need to.
