Warren~!! Buzzer Help - Please!
Warren - I stumbled across a thread referring to another thread where in you apparently detailed a 'rewiring' of the Warning Buzzer. For what purpose that was undertaken I'm not sure...but please - if you can - refer me to that thread, as despite my best search efforts I've been unable to find it.
What I'm currently working on in my electrical rewire oddyssey is this: My intentions were to rewire as original, and then if the buzzer turned out to be too obnoxious, I would as is obviously common, pull the relay. However, on the path there: > The new primary dash instrument, switch and gauge wiring harness (911.612.041.12) is not the same as the old original wiring harness - especially as to the wiring into the buzzer relay AND the 'Fasten Belts / Brake' warning light. Here's a spread sheet for the Fasten Belts/Brake LIght connector recepticle attached to the wiring harness, and referrels to the buzzer relay:  So, this may - I think - complicate things quite a bit... I've no clue how such a significant subsitution of the wiring inputs into the 'Fasten Belts / Brake ' warning light AND the buzzer relay could result in the same function as orginal...could it? Will it? And, 'of course' the 4 pin contact connector on the new harness is not on the old harness at all, nor does it mate with any of the connectors on any of the other new harnesses. I could cut and splice though... Any thoughts? Or previous thread references to this? Thanks! Jim
