New Owner - what color is it?

Hi everyone, first time poster and first time 911 owner. I'm a previous 944 turbo owner but this is the beginning of my first adventure with a 911.

Can you please help me identify the official name for this color from 1984?

Thank you for your help.

That's a truely awesomely beautiful car!

In the boot (or trunk if you are American) there should be a label with all the car numbers on it - the chassis number etc - and it should have the colour code too. I think you should find it listed in the following table for 1984:

india red L M3A
black L O41
alpine white L 90E
copenhagen blue L Y5B
pasedena yellow L Y1L platinum L M8U
light bronze L M1V
sapphire L Y5V
montego black L Y9V
ruby red L M3V
gemini grey L Z7Z
zermatt silver L Y7Y
sobel L Y8V

I found these codes on the website of the PCA. My car is Ruby Red.

Its hard to tell for sure from the pic, but it could be Glacier Blue - code 32Z or possibly Slate Blue metallic - code 661. Check inside the trunk on the right fender for the label.

I agree with Barrpete, looks like Slate Blue Metallic.

Go here and enter your car's info. I can't link directly to the sample page.

The 84 has the paint code inside the trunk, front right. It could be special order as well. I have an 84 that was painted a color that was not on the 84 color chart. Yours could be the same....

Cheers

I'm not sure what width they are as they came with the car. They are 17 inch and the front have 225's and the rears 255's.

Thanks for the compliments. The previous owner should get them as he did it perfectly.

Beautiful car....welcome to the 911 world. Is that a euro model with sunroof delete? Also, what wheels do you have, Classic II's. Again, great car.

Best,

Best,
It is a Euro but it does have a sunroof.

I believe they are FM10's but not sure. They came with the car and I do not have paperwork for them.

FYI- The color is damn cool. Screw the name.
