HELP!! Need A/C for 911 MY 87!!

Hello.
I own a 1987 Porsche Carrera with no A/C. It has the original 3.2 engine but it has the look of the old Porsche Carrera RS with the little rear wing (ducktail), the rear fender is stock. So the car is definitely a keeper for me. I’m thinking to install an A/C system because it will become a daily driver. Even it is a non original and modified car I like the original look inside very much.
So here my general problem. Are there companies available who can provide a complete set (so 100% complete) for the car (I know Griffith, but not sure about this matter yet and about the price too - any idea?)?? I guess here in Europe it is nearly impossible to find a complete kit.
Can you help me to get a complete working system, not just an "upgrade". Or in other words: what original parts from the factory ac do I need for a running system? Is there a good source to get those used parts?

So do I have to change the dash, the stock air vents or do I have to use different ones? Can I use original switches? Are heavily modifications like cutting, drilling, welding etc. necessary to install the complete system?

Excellence magazine had a 3 part series on this upgrade in 2004, I dont remember which months. They replaced everything including the barrier hoses of which 40 feet of them painstakenly have to be removed from under the car and refitted with new ones. The total bill was something like $4K. Do a search in this forum and you will find lots of info on new AC systems....

Don't know your location but is A/C absolutely necessary?

Big benefit if you replace fixed rear quarter windows with earlier "pop-out" style...a bit of work.... but do-able and easier ( and less costly) than A/C.

I have a complete AC system for sale...includes the pump/condenser, radiator, all the brackets, fittings, etc. Its even still charged and worked when removed last week. You can even have the controls if you want.

Removed intact from my 82 3.0 during its weight-loss program. $250 + shipping.

I have searched here in the forum, but did not find something to fit an AC to a non AC equiped car.

Well, I'm not quite sure about the necessary of an AC here in Germany, but it can be still very hot in summer (~95F). And since I want to do the RS conversion till march I want to keep for the AC option. By the way - the car is getting the chome rear pop out windows. It will become a daily driver - summer and winter. (keeps the windows clear and dry too).

Is the system comparable with the AC for the 3.2? Is everything complete ie
Evaporator Case and Motor ; Firewall fittings, the front Condenser (under the car) with the cooling motor and plenum; Inside Plenum; Compressor and engine Mount, Receiver Drier mount w/ clamps; clamps that hold the A/C Hoses under the car.
That list was given to me, for the parts I need to run for a "upgrade ac system" like retroair (they do not offer a complete system) - sorry for asking again. Can yo send some pics to me, please? I woul need the controls too, so nearly everything to do a proper installation.

Thanks, I've read the article. I'm in contact with them, price is... well lets say not cheap and a lot of work. Are there alternative companies?

Coincidently I happen to be selling my complete AC system from my 1989 car as I speak on Ebay. If for nothing else, it should help you see what you need that is correct for your car's year. The only items needed are hoses, a drier bottle, some additional hardware and some know how.
