tranny type number
looking at a used 912 tranny and trying to figure out if a 4 spd or 5spd.
where is the type number stamped at? thanks in advance! brant

It should be stamped on the bottom. If anyone knows what they mean or has a list I have two unknown trans. one is 915/63 74C 4025 in aluminum my other one is scraped off. all I could find was915 301 101, it is mag.

Mike,
because I'm dumb and cut and past the wrong number from an email. I think the actual part number that was given for the tranny was actually: 901.301.101.02 still trying to figure out if anyone can decipher this as a 4 sp or 5 sp based on the part number?
