for 915 gurus

Ive done some searching but I need some consolidated answers here.

First, I have records of the tranny being rebuilt within the last 4000 miles and the fluid is Swepco and the the level is good.

My problem lies in the the shifter having a hard time going into 3rd and 4th gear. In a few instances it was also hard (like it was stuck) in fourth gear. Shifter wouldn't budge untill i realeased the clutch in and out again.

What is the first thing I should check? the clutch adjustment is what im figuring and then on to what?

What Matthew said. The bushing set is pretty cheap and the replacement is pretty easy. Do a search.

Yes pull the shift arm out and physically look at all the bushings in the shifter. You cant see from the top if they are in pieces.

And make sure the adjustment is right. One time I fiddled with mine for weeks and finally figured out one of the bushings was in pieces and thats why it would never shift right.
