996=911?

Is a 2000 carrera c4 the same as a 996? or is it a 911? I am looking at a 2000 carrera c4 with 50,000 miles for about 39,000. Is that the correct price range and what should one look for on these cars? OH! and what is the difference between a c4 and a c2 besides the obvious 2 or 4 wheel drive.

996=911 or is it 911=996. Eaither way the model desgination 996 is badged a 911. C4 all wheel drive and sometimes has the turbo look option. Depending what options are on the car it would the same as a C2, other then having AWD and maybe other higher end options. The prices have been dropping for 996's and that seems about right and a good deal. There was a 2000 996 cab with 50k miles for $35,000. If the car checked out right that a pretty good deal. My own personal taste I like the styling of the 996, 2001 and later look even better with the sunny side up lights....997 have the rounder lights kinda like the 993's

I think that a 996 is the child of the 928.

I think 996 sucks balls unless it's a GT3
I would get 993 and never look back
