latest mods & Tilton inspiration....RS carpet kit, Momo Seats, RS Door Panels...etc

Thought it was about time to post some pictures of the most recent upgrades. Appbiz RS carpet install, RS door panels (still missing speakers, opps), new headliner, relatively new sunvisors, new Momo seats.

Bob Tilton inspired mods (given a fresh flat finish with "scotch brite pads)...removed fading/chipping paint from the gear lever & emergency brake, all window trim, door handles & headlight rings.
Did I mention the interior used to be cork? I pulled and dyed all the pieces.

A huge thank you to Don911, who always offers to lend a hand.
Thanks to Bob Tilton for the inspiration (my wheels are next for the flat finish treatment).
And thanks to Bob from Appbiz for making quality products at a fair price.

oh, and last is a picture of the annoying air injection system that I just removed. Can you say...."welcome to your new home... yeah..its a cardboard box"

Cheers,
Kyle.

Todd, Don is 99% responsible for mounting. I believe they are speedware sidemounts using some aluminum spacers mated up to Don's old stock sliders from his Carrera. certainly required some work to get them installed.

Bob, LOL....you started it!!!!!
i didn't clear them, a little Zymol & some heat (hair dryer or gentle heat gun).
FYI, from my experience I learned that if you decide to do this to the headlight rings.....do it with them installed. very carefully layer painters tape around the area then go to town with the scotch-brite. I actually removed the first headlight and took it all apart. Its just much easier with the headlight still installed in the car. with the headlight supported, you can carefully "polish" and keep the lines left by the scotch-brite in a consistent pattern.
K.

Looks geat!!! BTW, Red Ritz fabric dye in boiling water will make your heater knobs red again (mine looked like yours and the dye really works).

Hint:

In the photo showing the shift lever...notice the "bow-tie" attached to the bulkead that diverts the A/C flow sideways...
Remove the bowtie and enjoy ( what feels lile) a 50% increase in A/C flow..... very effective improvement at "0" cost... my kind of mod !!

The scotch brite polished parts look awesome, great job. Mine are dieing a slow paint chipped death and I would love to give them the scotch brite treatment. Could you elaborate on the process? Are there any special techniques or just go at it? Where does the zymol and heat come into play? Car looks great.

Thanks for the tip Will.
David, I followed the procedure that Bob Tilton used.
let me find it & post a link.
the wax and a little heat was at the end of the process, just to offer a little protection from the elements. I didn't do that inside the car.
