Here is my 83 Ruby Red. She is going to get a new set of wheels very soon (trying to decide between polished or painted Fuchs. The interior color of mine is some kind of grey-beige color - actual name escapes me...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1161143663.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1161143685.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1161143704.jpg

Hey V8_Ranch very nice 83 cab! Just curious as to what size & offset Design 90's those are? Are you running spacers and if so what width?
Cheers, Simon. |
Yes it has spacers. Can't tell you right away what size... car won't be here for a week. I have seen someone post about this before I think, so it might be here somewhere on the list. Once she is here, I will let you know on the spacers. As to the size ofthe 90's, they are 6x16 on front and 8x16 on rears. Did I mention they are currently for sale!;) I believe PO actually got these off a C2.

v-8 ranch..........ditch the seats, get recaros, put tail back on, add adj. sway bars, lower, turbo tie rods, new monoballs, new bushings, wevo eng/tranny mts. roll bar/harnesses,exhaust, k & n, setrab oil cooler, michelin pilots, 7 and 9's, fire system, new CV's, blah blah blah i can go on and on, strip all crap out and follow PCA RULE BOOK TO THE LETTER for either F-STOCK or J-STOCK. car will be still saleable, and you will think you bought a new car. you will think you had died and gone to heaven either on the track or the street! our next evil stunt........wevo shifter/coupler/rebuild tranny w/possible quaife diffy/ and all upgrades. ie. the G-50 from hell! mtr has 118k and runs like raped ape and does not leak a drop, and eats a 1/4 of a quart of castrol 20/50 every 1500miles. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1187347556.jpg |

450knot................since i know your gearing up your car for the track, heres some advice.
you will be amazed at what these cars can do with just DOT "R" tires! we went to PCA rules showroom stock "F-CLASS". reason ? there was a finite end to the money maddness!!!!!!! cars been lowered to euro spec, corner balanced, new everything underneath. tarret adj. sway bars, monoballs in front(rear when tranny comes out), brake ducts, new bearings all around, new brakes and ATE blue, brake bleeders, setrab oil cooler(runs 210F max at track), new bilsteins, 7 and 9 wheels, RUF bumpers frt and rear, weltmesiter strut bar(cheap/effective/no problems), sway away adj. spring plates, all leaks curtailed, nology wires, nology coil, k&n, ghl exhaust, new dist.cap, rotor, plugs, recaros, 5-pt. harness', rennline track mats, momo wheel, das sports roll bar, on board fire suppression-spa, carbon fiber anything i can find. thats tthe short list, it goes on and on.............................AND ON! alot of bucks can be just thrown at a stock class. just added wevo shifter and wevo precision shift joint(unreal shifting compared to bagged oem shifter) and ON AND ON! what do i have to show for my time and bucks??? a cab that puts brand new vettes to shame in the twisties and a very reliable air conditioned ride for the summer around here in hell(arizona). did i say we replaced everything on the a/c and we blow about 36 degrees outta the vents! yep hell of alot of fun. should have done this project in my 20's! have a deal where a guy here with an 87 targa wants my GHL exhaust complete. will throw bucks at SSI's next. then tranny is pulled. new clutch/flywheel, and elephant monoballs for rear arms. possible new zoomy synchros. then when motor(118K) starts taking crap..............new top end and whatever else we can get away with right to PCA showroom stock rules. and then we are done???? i think?????? then im buying an 89 speedster! god it doesnt end, does it! |
