Go in through the spark plug hole, I have done some "fishing" that way with a small magnet.

Cheers

Just went to the hardware shop and picked up one of those flexible metallic shafts with magnetic end. Hopefully that'll get the sucker out via the intake.

Merv, I did this operation a few years ago, and I also dropped a washer into one of the intakes(along with a few crumbs of old gasket material). I rigged up a length of fuel line to our venerable Electrolux vacuum with some duct tape and voila, up came the washer and later some little crumb bits stuck to the fuel/vacuum device. Good luck! This works really well. I have used my shop-vac many times to retrieve a lost nut or washer. Be patient and good luck!

Merv, hilarious thread - sorry couldn't help it (sounds just like me). After all that heart ache trying to find the culprit you finally do and then just when you think you can relax the washer slips into the hole. Good luck getting it out :)

As far as the injectors go I would send them to specialists for testing/cleaning - or minimum leave them soaking in cleaner.

Dont get too stressed! ;)

Hehe, thanks Rich :D

A major PITA, but I'm determined to fix this problem myself. Learning a lot doing this stuff myself, even though it can get painful & frustrating ;)
