Stock steel bumpers for backdate?
After doing a search I have not found any info on doing a backdate using stock steel bumpers instead of FG.
Has anyone done this? I'm starting to put together the plan for which direction we go with the SC project. I'm not sure that FG is all that strong and that much lighter than early (long hood) steel bumpers. So the choices are IROC look or pre '74 w/ duck and S front bumper. Cheers

The steel early car front ones are pricey. I have one stored and am told it might be worth $900 or so.

I think you can buy the RS bumper extensions, which should fit your SC flares. Not sure about the center panel or bumper guards, though. You could get a stock, non-S front bumper pretty easily though.
