Large Capacity Gas Tank/What's It Worth?
I'am considering selling this large capacity tank but don't know what they are going for?. Inside and out has been totally redone and ready for installation. I need a regular size tank for my 67 so I can keep a regular size spare tire. After I painted the tank, I drop it! Darn! So, it has one small ding on the top. What is it worth? Here are few pictures.

steel or plastic?
check out the current thread on the Ealry 911S board - you might be able to trade that tank for a new Kia or something...

I have a tank out of a '71 T, You are welcome to have for free. You would have to pick it up or meet half way down hywy80, It would have to be restored, its been sittng dry for a couple of years.

It is a steel so called Rallye tank. The earliest ones are from 1967.
Assuming the interior is redone too, you are looking at over 2K. The plastic ones, 100 or 110 liter tend to bring more money, which is ironical because they are more fragile. BTW Chuck Stoddard has the same tank in the 67S he brought to Hershey, with a full size spare. |

If you are going to get a good price from it, you might try to get some photos of the inside. If its metal everyone will want to make sure its not rusty inside.
