side marker delete

I've picked up the rubber pieces to put in place of the US spec side markers. What is the easiest way to remove the side marker assembly? Do i have to remove the front valance? Because I have to screw the nuts on from behind.

Thanks for your help,
Adam

Where did you order those from???

I would like to get a pair of those and then get the clear blinker lenses.

Sorry, I don't know about removing the assembly.

I am sure that they are standard on euro cars, you should be able to get them from any Porsche breaker very cheaply. Send me an email if you want some contacts in UK.

Just reach up under the valence and unscrew them - from memory they're a 10mm nut, which I replaced with Nyloks.

Might help if you park on a block of wood or jack up the front of the car, but definitely put stands under it if you plan on getting underneath.

That car looks eerily familiar... I like the valence, too!

It helps to first remove the small metal trim piece panel right behind the rubber trim that forms the front edge of the fender. Some vertical bolts into speed-nuts need to be removed...two on top/ two on the bottom for each panel....pretty easy. Might even be better to then take off the ruber accordian too.

Access to the side marker lights is then pretty easy...
