backdating heater question
 

I've done a search but can't come with anything about this. Does the engine have to be dropped to change the side tin when backdating the heater?

No, its quite easy. The only thing I had to worry about on my SC is loosing and rotating the oil fed tensioner switch that was too close to the new part. Very straight forward. Try re-wording your search there are tons of threads on this subject.

you don't have to drop the engine. You'll probably have to beat in the area facing the dizzy. I used a large round piece of wood laying against the steel and whacked that.

are you planning to sell your heater blower in the classifieds? there are always a few folks looking to update heat..

Yes, it works fine and if it can not be used as a replacement for the fresh air blower i will.

You don't need to drop the engine. Very straight forward to do the backdate. The only problem I had was with the drivers side duct.

As Ronin said, the only problem is fitting that duct around the dizzy. I tried to pound on the duct with a BFH and couldn't get it to fit properly. I eventually got a duct made of carbon fiber (I wann't looking for CF...one came up for sale in the classified and I jumped on it).http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1134920027.jpg new duct that didn't fit
