possible car purchase, pics included

This is the car I am thinking of buying. I took pics to show you all and maybe you will see something that I didnt. I think the ugly wood is just stuck on like a sticker because its sooo ugly. I know they had a wood trim option, but I dont think this is it. This car is a 99 with 50,000 miles on it and they are asking 39,000. The turbo wheels were a factory otion. It looks extremely clean, and as a body guy, I could find no previous dents or body repairs. Anyway, what do you all think? I am also looking at a fellow pelicanites 993 cab, but I dont know if I want a cab.
I understand the water cooled- oil cooled thing, but is this car worth 39,000 on its own merit?
If someone could carfax it for me as well that would be most appreciated. WPOAA2993XS624923

price seems high given the market. Maybe not, I'm no expert. Those definitely aren't turbo wheels.

like the color- get a specialist to due a full runover on it- offer in the low 30's- if they stick at 39k i think that's high- anyway, hey, if you like the 996 then burgandy over grey ain't bad- don't turn you back on the idea of a delicious 993 coupe (or cab if you like em! the 993 is the real deal.

Drive a 993, then make your decision, they are totally different.
$39k is high, I agree low 30's.

No way, 99s are low 30s (even high 20s)cars. Those are not Turbo wheels (just similar). Search on Autotrader there is a bunch under $35K. Thays a nice looking one. They are awesome to drive arent they!

The 99 will always be on the low end of the 996, as there was lots of problems in that year with the 996, that were fixed or upgraded going into 2000.

Thanks guys, I hope I can drive a 993, but there arent much where i come from. (please notice the hillbilly slang) The car felt great, but I wonder if a better car is to be found if I keep looking. St louis and Kansas city are both 2.5 hours from me so I can shop there, but I do not know where to look.

flipper,

Keep looking, there seems to be lots of cars for sale in Kansas City or St Louis.

Start with the autotrader, and cars.com

Don't let where your from determine what you buy...The internet changed all that.
