Tail Light Lenses

I've been looking at new rear lenses & have noticed that either the right or left is always more expensive. Our host asks $115 for one side & $92 for the other side in US trim.
The price difference is side reversed for Euro trim.
I've looked elsewhere & have noticed the same thing. Anybody have an answer as to why there is a price difference between what appear to be identical parts?

Also, can anybody point me to a source for a reflector for one of my front fog lamps? I recall seeing these somewhere in my travels but cannot remember where.

Maybe they should be viewed simply as different parts. I'm sure many people buy one side or another as opposed to a set. This would lead to a different manufacturing, distribution and inventory lifecycle resulting in individual fluctuations in price.

Could it be as simple as LHD cars vs RHD cars and what side of the car the drivers are more likely to back into breaking the tailight because of it?

LEFT US -$115
RT.US $92
LEFT EURO- $97.25 FROM OUR HOST
RT. EURO- $115

This is what I don't get. Possibly more breakage due to RHD or LHD, but I think most cars are LHD. Maybe I'm missing something here..........

FWIW, I checked out a Swedish dealer. Same price right and left. American (all red ) a bit more expensive though.

Weird. The last set I bought a couple of years ago were the same price on each side. I don't see any reason the the difference.

I would have guessed the exhaust tip position plays a role because the left side typically gets soaked with hot fumes and deposits. However this will not explain the Euro pricing ???

The L &R gasket seals for the tail lights are also priced differently. This is a mystery which I will now attempt to unravel: when ordering just one Left or Right the part number might be so simmilar they make the price an extension of the part number so there are additional different numbers and less of a chance to send the right instead of the left.
Who orders just one? Some do, thats why they're not sold as a pair... Crazy but true.
